Though there is much more work to be done, the Trump Administration has been receptive to our efforts for more focused attention on religious freedom internationally, and especially the tragic situation for Christians around the world.
The appointment of Kristina Arriaga as Vice Chair to the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom is an encouraging development. Kristina Arriaga was the Executive Director of the Becket Fund for Religious Freedom and a great friend of Concerned Women for America.
We worked with her and Becket on many religious liberty landmark cases, including Hosanna Tabor and the Hobby Lobby cases. Her commitment to the protection of religious liberty for all is unquestionable and we applaud the Trump Administration for her appointment.
