President Trump is protecting the unborn from Day One. On his first full day in office, he reinstated and updated what is known as the “Mexico City Policy” to prevent taxpayer funding of abortions internationally.
The Mexico City Policy was first introduced by President Reagan, and it says that international non-governmental organizations can only receive federal funding if they do not perform or promote abortions.
President Obama had rescinded the policy, but now President Trump has wisely made it a priority. Over 80 percent of Americans oppose their tax dollars funding international abortions.
And who can blame them? Abortion should not be one of America’s exports to the world.
