Capitol Hill Brief — Hurting with Those Who Hurt

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Friends, I want to urge you this week to remember in prayer our Coptic Christian brothers and sisters in Egypt.  You are probably aware of the latest terrorist attacks, right around Easter.  Bombs in two churches in Alexandria and Tanta, Egypt, took the lives of 47, leaving numerous more injured.

The situation is truly dire as they are targeted because of their faith.  I keep in close contact with a Coptic Christian community in Virginia and the reports are heartbreaking.  They tell me that everyone in the congregation now has family or friends who have suffered at the hands of these Islamic extremists back in Egypt.

So, let us rally together as Christians.  First and foremost, through prayers to our Holy God, who we know is in control.

As Christians, we have a responsibility to protect our persecuted brothers and sisters and defend religious liberty worldwide. Visit www.CapitolHillBrief.org to sign our petition to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson today! If you’d like to hear these commentaries on the radio, find me on your local radio station.
