Here is an area we must be equipped to engage in that I discuss in my book, Feisty & Feminine: A Rallying Cry for Conservative Women: the issue of human trafficking is today’s modern-day form of slavery.
It is a dark industry that is rapidly growing and is estimated at about 32 billion dollars a year.
The United States should be leading the globe in prevention and prosecution of anyone involved in sex trafficking. Yet, we are falling way short of that.
Under President Obama, the State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons suffered severe budget cuts. And the loose, liberal policies at our borders led to neglect in the monitoring in this area.
We must do better going forward.
