I told you yesterday about a big problem we have around the country with untested “sexual assault kits.”
Concerned Women for America has been working on it for years now, trying to develop the funding streams necessary to address the situation and make sure to curtail waste as much as possible.
Can we really make a difference on this?
Take Detroit for example, the National Institute for Justice reported that of the 1,595 kits tested under their project, nearly half (785, to be exact!) yielded DNA profiles with its hits on the FBI database.
So yes, we must remain diligent and continue our work in this area to end the backlog and to give justice to these women.
