Capitol Hill Brief — 100 No More: Penny Nance

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

As Planned Parenthood celebrates its 100th anniversary, flaunting its record as something to be proud of, a diverse group of women gathered in front of their new building in Washington, D.C. to expose their dark history. Here is what I said:

[Audio Clip] Penny Nance: Few recognize the racist roots of Planned Parenthood’s founder, Margaret Sanger, who was a proponent of eugenics. She was the co-founder of a notorious sterilization program for minorities, and she was a favorite consultant of the KKK.

Planned Parenthood cannot erase its founder’s warped views, especially when the effects of its current practices continue to affect minorities so disproportionately. 100 years of Planned Parenthood is enough. 100 No More!
