California Legislature Wants to Force CPCs to Give Abortion Referral. Encourage Gov. Brown to Veto AB 775!

In May the California Assembly voted 49-26 in favor of forcing Crisis Pregnancy Centers (CPC) to give abortion referrals (AB 775). Yesterday the Senate voted, on a party line vote of 23-14, in support of the bill.

It will now move to Gov. Brown’s desk.

Please contact Gov. Brown and ask him to veto AB 775.

If Gov. Brown signs this into law, volunteer-run and donation-supported CPC’s will be forced to pay hefty penalties unless they advertise for abortion.

This is a gross infringement of the free speech rights of these Good Samaritans. It is outrageous that such centers would have to refer women to abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood which is under severe scrutiny for their illegal harvesting and sale of baby body parts.

“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” ~Deuteronomy 30:19, NIV

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” ~John 10:10, NKJV

Pray:

  • For peace for the directors and staff at CPC’s as they face this audacious and unfair attack.
  • For Gov. Brown to be heavily convicted to protect life in California.

Act: Ask Governor Brown to veto AB 775.  Phone: (916) 445-2841, fax: (916) 558-3160 and/or e-mail him here.
