BREAKING: FBI’s Unjustified Targeting of Concerned Women for America
The following quote can be attributed to Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America (CWA), on the news of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) decision to assess for potential investigation CWA in 2016:
“Concerned Women for America (CWA) has throughout our forty-two-year history supported law enforcement and U.S. intelligence agencies. CWA is shocked and disappointed to learn that the FBI conducted research and an assessment of our organization. Our belief in the rule of law and in the integrity of our nation’s top law enforcement agencies makes it all the more disappointing to learn of the political targeting of our organization.
“Powerful government bureaucrats have used the FBI, IRS, and other agencies against perceived political rivals before, but it is nonetheless disgusting. It is my belief that my personal support for Donald Trump for President was the only reason for this investigation. The waste of taxpayer dollars was unscrupulous and frivolous. The question now becomes upon what intelligence did the FBI feel it needed to assess CWA in the first place? Were other agencies involved?
“The Biden Administration must work to reestablish the American people’s trust in our top law enforcement agencies which is at an all-time low. Unjustified, political investigations are in direct violation of Americans’ civil liberties.
“We call on Congress to clamp down on the out-of-control intelligence community. The American people deserve better. We demand better.
“Freedom and liberty are severely burdened when Americans cannot trust their government officials. While the right result was ultimately reached in regard to CWA, the intelligence community, including the FBI, continues to make it absolutely clear they cannot be trusted.”
