“Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.” – 1 Corinthians 16:13
“The time has come to turn to God and reassert our trust in Him for the healing of America… our country is in need of and ready for a spiritual renewal…” – Ronald Reagan, 1980
Dear CWA of Washington Member,
If America was in need of and ready for spiritual renewal in 1980, how much more needed is spiritual renewal in 2015? Within our nation, “progressives” are working aggressively to remove God and our Biblical heritage from any and all public venues as well as from privately run businesses; while from the outside, false religion is pursuing and murdering or enslaving anyone with the courage to stand and declare their Christian faith. God’s Word has warned us that such a time would come, and although we do not know the precise time, we are commanded to watch and stand fast in the faith! Please stand with Concerned Women for America as we pray, educate ourselves and walk our talk. The national office is very busy as our speakers address our core issues and legal briefs are filed in support of those issues. Please visit the national website to stay informed on our seven core issues.

Friday, April 17: “Day of Silence” is to be held; this is a project of the radical Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which is the leading pro-LGBT national education organization working inside schools in all 50 states.
Excerpt from CWA President and CEO Penny Nance’s article,The Bitter Irony of the Day of Silence:
“(The Day of Silence) is one of the many reasons why parents must stay informed and involved in their children’s education. There is an effort to combat the Day of Silence called the ‘Day of Silence’ Walk Out where parents are encouraged to keep their children home. Most parents don’t know about it, so we must spread the word. Only by staying involved will we be able to combat these efforts and train our kids to navigate the turbulent waters of today’s increasingly secularized, hostile culture.
I say we replace the “Day of Silence” with a day of kindness in which kids are taught unity and love regardless of viewpoint and not division and political correctness. No one should be silent about that!”

Tuesday, April 28: the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) will hear the arguments regarding the definition of marriage and states’ rights in Obergefell v. Hodges. Pray that God will impact the nine justices and their staffs, that pro-natural-marriage attorneys will be brilliantly inspired as they present their defense, and that God’s creation of one-man-plus-one-woman marriage will be honored and upheld. Join with others in prayer for God’s wisdom and His Will to be done as part of a national spiritual revival.
Thursday, May 7, 2015: National Day of Prayer is on. The theme is “LORD, HEAR OUR CRY”, and this year’s verse is “Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day.” I Kings 8:28. Pray for events scheduled to be held throughout the state of Washington and the nation! For events in your community, go to nationaldayofprayer.org/event-finder/. In addition to that list, there is a National Day of Prayer event from 7:00-8:30 a.m. at Westminster Chapel in Bellevue.

Pray for Attorney General Bob Ferguson’s heart to be softened and awakened to God’s wisdom and guidance.
Pastor Saeed Abedini from Boise, Idaho: For his release from an Iranian prison and return to his family. That the US government would intercede in this situation and seek justice for Pastor Abedini and others held simply because they are Christians.
