“The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.”

Psalms 9:9

Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Pennsylvania would like to thank the Pennsylvania House Judiciary Committee for unanimously passing a sex trafficking bill last week sponsored by Rep. Rob Kauffman (R-District 89).

HB394 is a good bill that will make it easier for sex trafficking victims to bring civil lawsuits against their offenders. The bill will allow lawsuits to be brought either where the victim resides or where the violations occurred.

This bill now goes before the full House for consideration

ACT TODAY:

  1. Please e-mail, call, or tweet your State Representative through our Action Center HERE  and urge them to support HB384 and make it easier for sex trafficking victims to bring lawsuits against their offenders.
  2. Forward this e-mail to like-minded friends and family. Encourage them to pray and take action on this important legislation.

PLEASE PRAY:  Heavenly Father, hear our cry to help and protect victims of sex trafficking in Pennsylvania. Tender the hearts of our lawmakers to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Lord, we ask you to comfort and heal the hearts of those affected by the trauma of sexual exploitation. Help them know You value them and that they are worthy of love. May they see themselves the way you see them, Lord. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

For such a time as this,

Dilonna M. Coran
