Elections – Are they worth my time?

The answer is YES!

One of the most important reasons to vote is that it is our responsibility as citizens of God’s Kingdom.  Philippians 3:20 says, “But our citizenship is in heaven …”   And Romans 13:1 tells us that “the authorities that exist have been established by God.”

Throughout Scripture, God calls His people to influence the culture around them in accordance with Biblical principles.  If not us, then who?

As citizens of the United States of America, a democratic republic, we have the freedom, privilege, and responsibility to vote for our leaders.  In fact, this form of government requires our active involvement.   We are “salt and light” (Matthew 5:13-16).

Let us be examples to our country.

Elections Matter!

I encourage you to take time to review the candidates and issues, compare values, and most importantly, seek the Lord’s guidance as you engage in this important responsibility of citizenship. Visit iVoter Guide for more information about the candidates.
