Now in effect! You can now take your name off the pro-abortion petition.
If you signed the pro-abortion petition by mistake, now is the time to remove your name. HB1244 passed the state legislature and signed by the governor. It permits a person to take their name off the abortion petition because they were misled into signing it.
Here’s the process:
- Go to TakeOffMyName
- Print out and complete the Signature Withdrawal Form. The form must be signed in the presence of a Notary Public.
- Deliver it by hand or by USPS registered mail to the South Dakota Secretary of State at the following address:

Pray that there will not be enough signatures to put the measure on the ballot. Pray that our good law that bans abortion will be upheld and life will be protected and cherished.
If the pro-abortion amendment gets on the ballot and is passed, it will:
- Allow abortion for all nine months of pregnancy.
- Remove all parental rights.
- Eliminate all current health and safety standards.
- Embed unfettered access to abortion into our state Constitution.
