Now is Your Opportunity to Defend the Unborn of Oregon!

By January 26, 2018Oregon

As you may know, Oregon is the only state that does not have any kind of regulation on abortion, despite the many efforts to persuade state legislators. Not one abortion regulation bill has been able to pass through Oregon’s legislature.

It has come to my attention that Oregon Life United, a non-partisan and non-denominational pro-life organization, has been working for several years with one simple mission: to pass Oregon’s first law to protect women and babies from abortion. They have formed the Stop Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act — also known as Initiative Petition #1.

This citizens’ initiative will give Oregonians an opportunity to create the state’s first pro-life law! If approved by voters, the following will be added to the Oregon State Constitution:

“The state shall not spend public funds for any abortion, except when medically necessary or as may be required by federal law.”

This would be a tremendous victory!

As a Concerned Women for America member, we are asking you to do all you can to help this petition be successful. In order for this initiative to qualify for the November 2018 ballot, 117,578 valid Oregon voter signatures are needed. To date, 92,000 signatures have been mailed in; but time is running out.

Please pass this information on to your friends, family, and pastor.  Encourage them to both pray and take action on this important opportunity.

“If you faint in the day of adversity,
Your strength is small.

Deliver those who are drawn toward death,
And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.
If you say, “Surely we did not know this,”
Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it?
He who keeps your soul, does He not know it?
And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?”
