What joy is the Christmas season! The colors, the lights, the snow. It’s a time to gather with family and friends. But above all, it is a time to remember our Savior’s birth.
One of my favorite things to help me remember are our old hymns, full of Scripture and beauty.
“Hark the herald angels sing
‘Glory to the new-born King
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled.’”
Or how about that crescendo of Silent Night, proclaiming:
“Christ the Savior is born!”
There is “O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant …”
And the splendor of the “Gloria, In excelsis Deo …”
It is, indeed, the most wonderful time of the year!
