Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year from Concerned Women for America of North Dakota! Although the humanistic world strives to silence the message of God’s love and redemption, the light of truth and hope cannot be extinguished! The light of Christ shines for eternity because of the amazing gift we have been given! “For unto us a child is born; unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
Thank you for joining with CWA of North Dakota in our efforts. Throughout the year I have been regularly reminded of your faithfulness to defend America’s Judeo-Christian heritage and Biblical values in public policy. Thank you for your commitment to pray, your voice for the truth, your generosity in resources, and your votes! You have impacted our great state and nation by your service to God, family and country. Be encouraged as we are! Because of you, we have been able to take a stand for the unborn and against Planned Parenthood, for the privacy of women and children in restrooms, against Common Core, and much more.
We rejoice that state-wide North Dakota citizens went to the polls in support of prolife legislators. You may have heard former CWA State Director, Janne Myrdal was elected State Senator! We thank God for His favor of leaders that support the sanctity of life.
In a recent news release from Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee, CEO and President Penny Young Nance congratulated President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence, calling the election historic for reasons other than those predicted by the polls and media:
“As women of faith, mostly Evangelical, we voted based not on gender or personality but in defense of the Supreme Court, the sanctity of life, religious freedom, national security, and economic freedom.
“We believe in the power of prayer, and I believe we saw the fruit of those prayers last night. But now our work is just beginning, and you can trust we will continue to be on our knees before our Creator for the future of our nation. We must work hard to champion the issues that brought us out to the polls.”
We are grateful to have received notes of encouragement from members, like:
“Thank you for speaking out for the precious unborn babies – so needed in our community and the world.”
“Just a note to thank you for your involvement with Concerned Women for America and for your recent article in the Grand Forks Herald. God bless you in all you do!”
Please continue to pray for and partner with us.
- We are in need of more Prayer/Action Chapters. Want information on what it would be like to lead a Chapter? Please contact us.
- Are you an encourager? We are looking for volunteers who are willing to pray for a state legislator on a regular basis and send him/her a postcard once a week during the 2017 legislative session (January through April). Our legislators need our prayers and encouragement. We provide the postcards. Contact us if you would like to be a part of this group!
- Are you on our e-alert list? If not, please contact us today and ask to be put on our e-alert list to stay updated on projects, events and legislative matters in need of your prayers and action.
- Partner with CWA of North Dakota through your financial support. Because CWA of ND is run by volunteers, all donations go straight to the work at hand. You can donate online or send a check to CWA of North Dakota to the address below. When you give to the state, all funds are used in the state. When you give to CWA National, all funds are used on a national level.
It is our prayer in the New Year that God’s wisdom will rule and that the name of the Lord will be praised by the Church body and all who serve the people of this state and our nation. We remain committed to prayer as we move forward. For we know we can do nothing apart from God, and it is only through Him that we will be able to triumph over the challenges that lie ahead.
Rejoice! May you and your family have a Blessed Christmas and a Happy and Peaceful New Year!
