It’s that time of the year when the Kansas State Legislative session begins and our legislators need all the encouragement and prayers we can offer. Concerned Women for America of Kansas’s Encourage-A-Legislator (EAL) Program is an opportunity to minister to our state legislators personally with prayer and encouragement.
If you have not participated in our EAL Program in the past, know that this program is focused solely on prayer and encouragement to our state legislators. Participants simply pray for an assigned legislator every day of the legislative session and send a postcard once a week for eights weeks to their assigned legislator with encouraging words letting them know that they are being prayed for each day. This is not a lobbying effort but a ministry to the legislators. Whether a legislator is a believer, non-believer, conservative, liberal, democrat, republican, independent or other, they are in desperate need of prayer. This 2016 legislative session, CWA of Kansas plans to deliver those prayers.
Sign up, and we will supply you with a legislator’s bio, eight postcards and sheets of encouraging quotes. All you do is supply a few minutes of your time a week, prayers and stamps.
Consider making this a group project by involving your children, Bible Study or Sunday school class.
