On July 26, 2015, Gov. Nathan Deal directed the Department of Community Health and the Department of Public Health to conduct a joint review of the clinics run by Planned Parenthood Southeast in Georgia to ensure that Planned Parenthood Southeast is not in the business of selling aborted baby body parts. Both agencies have visited the five Georgia Planned Parenthood clinics and have released their findings. Both agencies report that the clinics are following current state law for the burial or interment of the remains of aborted babies.
