Congress Holds Hearing on Benghazi

This week, despite Congress officially being out of session, the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform held a hearing tackling security failures in Benghazi. Four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, lost their lives in a terrorist attack on the anniversary of September 11 in Benghazi, Libya.

Republicans and Democrats flew back to the Capitol to question senior military and state department officials. The administration initially claimed – for quite some time – that an anti-Islamic YouTube video was the cause of the attack; however, as details have unfolded, it is clear it was a terrorist attack, and it was equally clear that they knew it.
