CWA of Iowa Welcomes Acorn Whistle Blower to Speak in Four Iowa Locations This Week

Washington D.C. -Concerned Women for America (CWA) CEO and President Penny Nance announced today that Association of Community Organizations Now (ACORN) whistleblower Anita MonCrief will speak in Iowa on Thursday, October 25, and Friday, October 26, as part of the She Votes 2012 project. MonCrief will stop in Des Moines, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and the Cedar Falls area to share her firsthand accounts of the impact of community organizing on elections.

“In 2008, Anita came forward, first as the confidential source of the New York Times and then publicly, to expose the damage that ACORN has done to the impoverished and marginalized communities, as well as its rampant voter fraud. She gained notoriety as the ACORN whistleblower,” Nance said. “She also began to blog about fraud within the ACORN/Project Vote network of corporations.”
