Concerned Women for America of Kentucky is closely monitoring legislation moving through the Kentucky General Assembly. Several important bills are advancing, and your voice matters. We encourage you to review the legislation below and take action as we urge our elected officials to vote in accordance with the will of the people in the Commonwealth.

HB646 – The Use of Pharmaceuticals to Intentionally Terminate Life
This bill would strengthen Kentucky’s pro-life protections by classifying abortion-inducing drugs as Schedule IV controlled substances. Schedule IV drugs are medications with accepted medical uses but a limited potential for abuse and dependence, requiring a prescription and regulated oversight.

SB72 – The Health Care Heroes Recruitment and Retention Act
This legislation would allow health care employees and providers to decline participation in services, procedures, or research that violate their religious, moral, or ethical beliefs.

HB359 – Human Growth and Development Instruction
Formerly known as the “Baby Olivia” Act, HB359 would require school districts to adopt health curricula that include instruction on human growth and development, beginning with life at fertilization and continuing through birth.

HB360 – Adult Performances
This bill defines “adult performance” in the state code and establishes offenses and penalties for violations.

HB334 – Sex-Based Classifications
Also known as the Kentucky Women’s Bill of Rights, this legislation establishes biological sex classifications in Kentucky law.
