Young Defender of Faith and Marriage Essay Competition

In North Carolina marriage is under attack! Christians must stand strong together, both young and old, to defend marriage as the union between one man and one women during this election year as a united voice for truth with prayers, actions and votes.

Young people of North Carolina, defend your faith, defend marriage! You are the future of our great state and nation, rise up!

Essay Criteria:

  • Must be homeschooled and in high school.
  • Must attend Concerned Women for America of North Carolina’s awesome STAND STRONG TOGETHER Conference, Saturday, March 31, 7:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church Charlotte, 301 S. Davidson Street, Charlotte, NC 28202. Click here for brochure and registration form.
  • Essay is not to exceed 500 words, must be typed in Arial, font size 11. At the top of the essay, print the essay title, your full name, age and year in school, mailing address, e-mail address, and phone number.
  • Essay must be mailed in time to be received by Friday, April 13, 2012. Mail essay to: CWA of North Carolina, P.O. Box 472903, Charlotte, NC 28247.

The essay will be judged by the Concerned Women for America of North Carolina State Steering Committee. The award winner will receive a Young Defender of Faith and Marriage Certificate and a $50.00 award check. The award winning essay will be printed in the CWA of North Carolina April News Report which is emailed to over 700 supporters.

The STAND STONG TOGETHER Conference promises to be an outstanding time. Attendees will learn how to combat a culture that attacks the traditional values of marriage, family and the sanctity of life and how to effect public policy.
