Why should I get involved?

Are you a valuable soldier in God’s army? Look at what is written in I Chronicles 12:32 about some of David’s mighty warriors, “And of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do..” One of the qualities that made David’s men valuable was that they had insight into the times they were living. Their insight made them valuable to the King! We too need to understand the times in which we are living. For are we not alive for such a time as this?

As people who are the voices of grassroots America, we need to be equipped. In order to continue Standing Strong Together*, we need to be diligent in gathering information about our society. As David’s mighty warriors joined him with their weapons, the Scripture says these men of Issachar not only understood the times, they also had a knowledge of what Israel should do. The second quality of their usefulness to the King was knowing what to do!

As followers of Jesus, we have God’s Word to discern the truth from the falsehoods spouted by our leaders and the media. We can take a stand against the devil’s schemes. God’s Word is our weapon, “For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double edge sword.” Hebrews 4:12 “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

Do not be fooled by our enemy Satan into thinking God waits and chooses only the perfect or the strong and healthy for His army. We follow a victorious and risen Savior. It is not the followers that are strong and mighty, rather it is He that is in us. “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” I John 4:4

As Jesus lived among the people and reached out to the lost, we too need to bring the message of hope to those among whom we live. Jesus also told the truth to the leaders of His time. He spoke the truth about their faulty teachings. To follow in His steps we need to call out those teachings that are unbiblical, lead to unhealthy lifestyles and destroy life.

One important step in becoming a useful soldier in God’s army is joining other like-minded people in Concerned Women for America. Join together with others who want to know about the times in which we live. You will then receive e-mail alerts and become educated on the issues. Join or begin a Prayer/Action Chapter and become strengthened in character and boldness in order to stand up for righteousness. We all need to commit ourselves to Christ and to our nation so that we may do all in His power and in our time to spread hope, which is the Gospel of Salvation.
