Virginia: Encourage A Legislator Prayer Project Opportunity

By November 14, 2020Virginia

Wow! What a year this has been. Many bills harmful to families and unborn babies were passed by the Virginia General Assembly and signed into law by Gov. Ralph Northam (Democrat). And on a national level, it has also been a year like we have never experienced in our lifetime – the coronavirus and its lockdowns, lawlessness in our streets, and questions of election integrity.

Now is not the time to grow weary. Isaiah 54:17 promises us that no weapon forged against us will prevail. Prayer opens the keys to Kingdom power and is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us.

So, are you ready to pray?! I am looking for volunteers for Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Virginia’s Encourage-A-Legislator (EAL) program for Virginia’s 2021 legislative session, which begins January 13, 2021.

If you are new to CWA, EAL is a program of encouragement and prayer for our Virginia legislators while the General Assembly is in session. It involves sending a postcard every week for six weeks and praying daily for a legislator. Click here to review the EAL brochure, which further explains the program.

We have received several notes of gratitude and appreciation from our legislators over the years. Here are a few:

“Thanks for your many prayers and words of encouragement.”
“Thank you for your cards of support . . . they mean a great deal to me.”

If you would like to participate in the 2021 EAL program, please click here to sign up online, and I will be in contact with you.

This is also a great project for your whole family, students, a Sunday School class, or a Bible study group.

Thank you in advance for your willingness to serve the Lord and your fellow citizens.
