The Virginia General Assembly has now been in session for nearly three weeks, and before the close of the session, it will have considered over 2,200 pieces of legislation. Elected officials review, discuss in committees and caucuses, debate, and toss ideas back and forth. Some of the legislation will be passed through the House and on to the Senate, and some will be passed through the Senate and then on to the House for approval. Eventually, some will make it to the governor for his signature and become law here in the Commonwealth.
Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Virginia continues to have prayer teams at the Capitol each week. We meet with legislators to discuss and promote legislation that aligns with CWA’s seven core issues, including pro-life legislation, women’s sports, parental choice in education, election integrity, and opposing legislation that promotes comprehensive sex education and race-based and radical gender ideology in curricula

Thank you for praying for a hedge of protection each week as our teams travel to and from Richmond. Please pray for favor in the sight of God and man, particularly among those who oppose that for which we stand. Thank you for praying that our words would be gracious and kind, showing respect and humility. Pray that we would be wise as serpents and gentle as doves and that the Spirit of God would have full rule and reign as we speak. Pray that we would be a sweet aroma and that we would be ready with meekness to give a defense to anyone who asks for the reason for the hope that is in us.
Thank you for your continued support of CWA of Virginia. Together, through prayer, education, and action, we can impact Virginia mightily for His Kingdom!
“Let justice roll on like a river and righteousness like a never-failing stream.” Amos 5:24
