“Give thanks in all circumstances for
this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
– 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Praise Report:
Today, we give thanks to God for His hand in the affairs of men! The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear Chiles v. Salazar, a case involving a counselor in Colorado who wants to help young people struggling with questions about gender identity in a way that aligns with God’s design.
This case is about freedom of speech and religious liberty. Colorado passed a law that prevents licensed counselors from offering any assistance that does not completely support gender transitioning for children. Even if a client comes to the counselor for help on how to accept their sex and learn how to handle gender dysphoria, the counselor is prevented from providing advice that could even be interpreted as an effort to affirm a person in the sex they are born with if they have feelings to the contrary.
This law has made it illegal for counselors to offer Biblical guidance or talk about God’s design for sexuality and treats it as illegal if it’s perceived as encouraging change. We believe, however, that God is exposing the harmful nature of this law, and we are standing in prayer for truth and freedom to prevail.
The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments in the case of Chiles v. Salazar on October 7, 2025.
Pray with me:
Father, our weapons are not of this world but powerful to demolish strongholds that set themselves up against the knowledge of God. We thank You that the U.S. Supreme Court is hearing this case and pray that it rules righteously regarding our freedoms of religion and speech. Set this counselor free to counsel in a Godly manner. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
