U.S. Must Aid Israel Against Iran NOW
Biden’s feckless foreign policy is putting our ally at risk
Washington, D.C. – Today, Concerned Women for America Legislative Action Committee (CWALAC) called on President Joe Biden to immediately come to Israel’s aid after the surprise drone attacks by Iran on Saturday.
“The United States has a moral obligation and a strategic one to help our closest ally in the region and give them the tools they need to defeat the terrorists who brutalized and murdered their citizens and against a terrorist regime that has vowed to destroy Israel,” said Penny Nance, CEO and President of CWALAC.
“President Biden’s sanctimonious lecture to Israel last week signaled to Iran that the U.S. has weakened its support for our greatest ally and friend. His rhetoric and his actions have put the lives of the October 7 hostages at risk and now have put all of Israel in grave danger.
“Biden has cozied up to Iran since he took office, sending our enemies $16 billion last year. Handing over billions of dollars to our enemy only strengthened them and the terrorists like Hamas who they fund.”
CWALAC also urges Congress to quickly pass the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act which would provide emergency supplemental funds to help Israel in their fight against Hamas terrorists and fund the U.S. military for support in the region.
“It is not by accident that this attack comes as the Jewish people look towards celebrating Passover, just as the October 7 attack came at the close of Sukkot,” continued Nance. “This is a spiritual battle, and we must stand unequivocally with Israel and its right to defend itself. We pray for our friends on the ground; we pray for the Israeli Defense Forces, and we pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”
“My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep,” Psalm 121:1
Support for Israel is one of Concerned Women for America’s seven core issues. CWA and its Young Women for America (YWA) leaders have been holding prayer vigils for Israel on college campuses and at civic centers around the country to focus attention on the suffering of the Jewish people, the hostages still being held, and the victims of the horrific terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023.
