When Concerned Women for America (CWA) initially heard about WE tv’s racy new show, “Sex Box,” we charged into action. CWA CEO and President Penny Nance coauthored an op-ed with Melissa Henson of the Parent’s Television Council calling for the show to be pulled off the air.
And now that appears to have happened.
Not long after that op-ed ran, CWA led a petition drive to give voice to countless Americans concerned about the direction of our culture. We are glad that our voices have been heard!
But the fight is far from over. Claiming a possible tweaking of the show, and despite the fact that the show is something of a ratings disaster, WE tv says it might return “Sex Box” to regular programming at some point in the future.
Let’s be ready, then. It’s been said that “the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” That seems to be the price of decency these days as well.
