Release of Hostages is an Answer to Prayer,
but only a First Step

CWA & YWA Calls for All to be Freed

Washington, D.C. – Today, Concerned Women for America (CWA), the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization, welcomed the release of some hostages from the October 7 terrorist attacks by Hamas but called for all the hostages to be freed.

“The release of some innocent women and children barbarously taken hostage by Hamas terrorists on October 7 is an answer to prayer,” said Penny Nance, CEO and President of CWA. “Their release has been a focus of CWA and its Young Women for America (YWA) program since the horrific attacks. We have held prayer rallies on college campuses and at civic centers around the country, calling for the release of the hostages and an end to the antisemitism prevalent on the streets of our great nation.

“The release of these hostages is a welcome development, but the mission will not be complete until every hostage is returned safely home and Hamas is completely eradicated. As we continue to celebrate Thanksgiving this week, CWA and YWA leaders praise God for the release of these women and children, and we commit our efforts to pray for the return of all the hostages and for justice and peace to prevail.”
