Time is running out to voice your opposition to one of the many assisted suicide bills making their way through the legislature. SB 1129, Death with Dignity, “Establishes a death with dignity act under which a terminally ill adult resident may obtain a prescription for medication to end the patient’s life.”
On February 17, SB 1129 passed out of the Senate Consumer Protection and Health Committee. It is now in the Senate Committee on Judiciary and Labor, where they have issued a Notice of Decision Making for TOMORROW, February 28, at 11:00 a.m., in room 16. This is a decision making meeting only. No oral testimony will be accepted. Click here to read the bill, note its sponsors and track its status.
Each person’s life, including its end, should remain in the hands of God, the One who ordained it. It is His, and His alone, to take. “Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.” Psalm 139:16
