Praise God! General Assembly Voted to Stop the Selling of Baby Parts in North Carolina

By September 30, 2015North Carolina

We are proud of the North Carolina General Assembly for voting to squelch the market for aborted baby parts and stop taxpayer funding for organizations that perform abortions in our great state by passing HB 297, End Marketing/Sale Unborn Children Body Parts.

On September 24, the North Carolina Senate passed HB 297 41-3, and on September 28, the North Carolina House passed it 79-29.

Now HB 297 will go to Gov. Pat McCrory for his signature.  CWA of North Carolina urges the governor to sign this bill so the practice of selling aborted babies’ body parts is stopped, and our tax dollars are no longer used to snuff out the lives of the unborn.

Take Action:

  • Please call 919-814-2000 or e-mail the Governor’s office and urge him to sign HB 297 into law!
  • Call your State Senator and Representative and express your thanks or disapproval on how they voted on HB 297. This feedback is important to future pro-life bills.  They need to know we are watching and be encouraged if they voted correctly and respectfully reprimanded if they didn’t.  Go here to find out who your senator and representative is and how to contact them.  Then find out how they voted in the Senate here, and in the House here.
  • Forward this e-alert on to like-minded friends and family.  Encourage them to pray and take action.

Pray:  Pray that Gov. McCrory sees the importance of this bill and signs it into law immediately.  And, praise the Lord for His wonderful ways!

For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
