Opportunity Knocks

By February 10, 2018Maine

Dear Friends of Concerned Women for America of Maine,

Here we are, starting a new year, with much to be thankful for and with much work ahead of us.

Praise God for our victory over physician-assisted suicide in the legislature last year, the most important piece of legislation we addressed.  With your support, we were able to take a pro-life, pro-family stand on 15 pieces of legislation at the State Capitol.  We lobbied, sent out e-alerts, testified before several committees, and attended coalition meetings on your behalf.

We are a little over one month into 2018, and the left is already now pushing to allow medical professionals, other than licensed doctors, to perform abortions.  Plus, Maine family planning sites plan to offer medical or chemical “webcam/telemed” abortions.  These two issues will be our top priorities this year, in addition to the issues of marijuana, sex crimes, and more. I will be sure to keep you updated on these issues and how you can pray and act.

As our great state continues to be a target for referendums and far left issues, with your help, CWA of Maine will continue to be on the front lines opposing these attacks and defending the sanctity of life.  Will you make join with us?  Please pray and take action when we send you e-alerts, and right now, will you please generously give to our work?

With your financial help, we will be more effective than ever.  Please renew or enroll for membership for 2018.  Your tax-deductible contribution of at least $25/year makes a statement to the Maine Legislature that you stand with us and the issues we pursue.  The more partners we have, the more powerful we will be in the legislature.  Sign up today!

Because we are all volunteers, your contribution goes straight to the work at hand.  Your support keeps ink in the printer, the phone on, gas in the car, and projects and events accomplished.  Let me acknowledge two of our outstanding volunteers: Cathy Carsley, Encourage-A-Legislator Coordinator, and Renee Fortin, Legislative Liaison and Prayer/Action Chapter Coordinator.  We thank God for them!  Cathy has done a fabulous job connecting prayer warriors with legislators this session.  Renee is diligently working to establish CWA Prayer/Action Chapters all over the state that will be informed on the issues, prayerful, and active for the righteousness in our land.  In addition, she will be sharing the legislative duties with me.

As a thank you, if you give a gift of $30 or more before February 14, we will send you a free book, Feisty & Feminine: A Rallying Cry for Conservative Women by Penny Nance, CEO and President of CWA.

Please make a difference in Maine for generations to come by contributing now.  It’s easy!  Click here to give online or send a check to the address below.  Write the check out to “Concerned Women for America” and put “CWA of ME” on the memo line.

Be sure to visit our website regularly.

I pray you will want to be a part of this work for a better Maine — a Maine that honors and glorifies our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in both word and deed.

All for Jesus,
