Ohio: Help Us Ensure Election Integrity

The 2024 elections are upon us, and we need your help to ensure that every eligible vote counts in Ohio! Here are ways to engage:

  1. Serve as an Election Observer (poll watcher) on Election Day. Here is a great resource: Being an Election Observer: Things to know.
  2. Serve as poll workers. You can learn about poll workers in Ohio and how to apply here.. Use can also use the poll worker lookup tool to find information on being a poll worker in your community, including requirements, hours, pay, training, and more.
  3. Ensure Ohioans are registered to vote. We have made it easy for you. Download our Conducting a Voter Registration Drive: Instructions and Helpful Tips.
  4. Be an informed voter by checking out iVoterGuide.

General Election Dates

  • September 20: Military & Overseas Absentee Voting Begins
  • October 7: Deadline to Register to Vote. (Boards open until 9:00 p.m.)
  • October 8: Early in-person voting begins. Includes the two Saturdays and the two Sundays before Election Day.
  • October 8: Absentee voting by mail begins.
  • November 5: Election Day. Polls open 6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. (If not returned by mail, absentee ballots must be received by your board of elections by 7:30 p.m.)
