Florida’s Attorney General (AG) James Uthmeier has launched the Office of Parental Rights (OPR) to empower parents and protect children. This first-in-the-nation initiative, established under Florida law, will tackle issues such as:

• Lack of consent for school records or biometric data
• Unapproved health, counseling, or mental health services
• Interference with educational choices or library materials
• Violations of parental notification in school governance
• Unauthorized data sharing
• And more

This office is designed to support families and uphold the Parents’ Bill of Rights and Parental Rights in Education.
