Florida’s Attorney General (AG) James Uthmeier has launched the Office of Parental Rights (OPR) to empower parents and protect children. This first-in-the-nation initiative, established under Florida law, will tackle issues such as:
- Lack of consent for school records or biometric data
- Unapproved health, counseling, or mental health services
- Interference with educational choices or library materials
- Violations of parental notification in school governance
- Unauthorized data sharing
- And more
This office is designed to support families and uphold the Parents’ Bill of Rights and Parental Rights in Education.
