Thank you ladies for responding to my last e-alert to pray and then contact Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-North Dakota) with the message to vote to support Gina Haspel to serve as our nation’s next Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director!
KVRR of Fargo has reported Sen. Heitkamp’s pledge to support President Donald Trump’s nominee, Gina Haspel. See the photo of Sen. Heitkamp seated with Gina Haspel in this story. “In a statement, Heitkamp says after meeting with Haspel and other intelligence leaders, she has concluded Haspel will put our country’s security above partisan politics.”
Politico also reports, “Sen. Heitkamp said Gina Haspel has locked in the necessary support to win confirmation as President Donald Trump’s CIA director, as two critical undecided Democrats — Sens. Mark Warner of Virginia and Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota — announced Tuesday that they would support her nomination. Haspel has now won votes from four Democratic senators, allowing her to overcome any potential remaining opposition from either side of the aisle.”
The vote in the full Senate is expected as early as tomorrow.
