Congress and state legislatures are working hard these days to cut spending and balance budgets. One of the bills that the U.S. House of Representatives voted for with bi-partisan support was cutting federal funding of Planned Parenthood (PP) the nation’s largest abortion industry. One of the reasons the budget has not been passed is the fact that Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) has said “hell no” to de-funding PP, and the President shares his sentiments.
Meanwhile, here at home in the heartland, the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (DPI) prioritizes spending tax payer’s monies to promote the political and ideological agenda of Planned Parenthood at an upcoming “Adolescent Sexual Health “seminar in Fargo. The Sex Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) will be the featured presenter at the event. bases most of their instruction and philosophy on the late Alfred C. Kinsey’s landmark sexuality research projects which he began in 1938. Kinsey exploited minors in his research, and the resulting false science known as the “Kinsey Reports” was used to develop his wacky theories that still influence our public policies to this day. Kinsey and his use of minors in his sexuality research can be compared to the recent discoveries of Planned Parenthood clinics offering full services to pimps with 13 year old sex trafficking victims.
Contracting with groups as provocative and controversial as Planned Parenthood and SIECUS and calling it health education is such an oxymoron, it baffles anyone’s mind. First of all, is it the job of the government AT ALL, to train teachers to teach biased liberal sex education to any student? Secondly, using tax payer’s monies for such without any regard to the moral or religious convictions of the majority of North Dakotans is an astounding overreach of governmental authority. This two-day seminar covers deeply controversial topics such as “Identify components of safe, supportive, school environments inclusive of Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender and Questioning students and family members.” When DPI Health Education Coordinator Sandra Tibke was questioned about the event, she told PlainsDaily that her job is to “provide solid health facts and materials” and nothing more. Tibke said that her job is “to simply deliver factual information regarding sexual health” to North Dakota teachers and leaders. She did say that while she may not agree with everything Planned Parenthood promotes, she believes they do have “really good materials” on helping families communicate and that she prefers to find common ground and work with non-profits on those issues. “There’s nothing controversial about the conference materials,” insists Tibke. “These things are going on in our schools and while we would prefer abstinence, we need to recognize that not everyone is practicing that, and they need good information so they can be protected.”
The question that begs to be asked is protected from what? How can one be protected from the dangers of promiscuity by teaching that promotes every form of it to minors? Factual, healthy, solid and helpful sexual information coming from PP and SIECUS? PP “helps families communicate”? Are you kidding me? Is that why PP lobbyist fight against any laws that would require parental involvement in a minor’s medical decisions? Regardless of where anyone stands on the issue of abortion (which is PP’s number one purpose and goal and a main source of their one billion dollar revenue) one cannot but be shocked by the audacity of the North Dakota DPI on this issue. Do most North Dakota parents really want their schools to teach eugenics, diverse and unhealthy sexual life styles and risky sexual practices? Or do most parents prefer their children to hear from teachers who speak the truth, namely that abstinence is the ONLY proven way to stay healthy and to avoid an unplanned pregnancy? The fact that “these things (promiscuity) are going on in our schools” should not make us proclaim those risky behaviors normal and healthy, neither should North Dakota government entities fund nor promote such an agenda!
In case you are not familiar with Planned Parenthood, allow me to give you some facts.
Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider though they promote themselves as a family planning medical entity. What is the PP agenda? PP founder Margaret Sanger, a eugenics promoter, gave us revealing statements like these, which have never been denounced by PP:
“The most merciful thing that a family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.” Margaret Sanger (editor). The Woman Rebel, Volume I.
“Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.” Margaret Sanger. Woman, Morality, and Birth Control. New York: New York Publishing Company.
“Eugenics is the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.” Margaret Sanger. “The Eugenic Value of Birth Control Propaganda.” Birth Control Review.
“[Our objective is] unlimited sexual gratification without the burden of unwanted children…” Margaret Sanger (editor). The Woman Rebel, Volume I.
These statements, and plenty more like them, show a sick agenda that still permeates the actions of PP today, and it frankly makes me nauseous to even enclose such rhetoric here. But for the sake of reason and in order to stop the funding of such an agenda, I see it sadly necessary to bring these quotes to light.
PP is currently under investigation in several states, including Indiana, California, Texas, Alabama and Tennessee for allegations of fraudulent use of Title X funding. In 2009, PP received $363 million in funding from the federal government. Incidentally, PP performed 324,008 abortions that year. Should US taxpayers pay for the activities of PP? The vast majority of Americans say no, so we should work to see legislation passed and implemented to cut such immoral and fiscally irresponsible spending immediately.
The Sex Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) serves as the sex education arm of the Kinsey Institute. They attempt to insert Kinseyan ideology (based on Kinsey’s false science developed in the early century by sexually exploiting children) into sex education programs nationwide. Planned Parenthood, in partnership with SIECUS then moves these “model” programs into American classrooms via conferences such as the one funded by North Dakota DPI.
SIECUS’s main goal is to reach teachers and anyone who influences public policy-making with the ultimate goal of reaching America’s children and changing the social mores of our country. SIECUS’s stated purpose to promote human sexuality as a health entity, attempts to lead well-meaning citizens into rallying behind their cause of erasing moral Judeo-Christian sex mores and replacing them with “situation ethics” and erotica. And incidentally, Hugh Heffner, the Playboy tycoon, has been a huge supporter of SIECUS throughout its history. Maybe that is because SIECUS opposes any censorship of art with sexually-explicit materials. And when doing a little bit of history on this group, one also finds that several of its founders are signers of The Humanist Manifesto II, a document that endorses sexual freedom, birth control, abortion, divorce, euthanasia and suicide, and a one world order where no nation holds true self authority or borders.
In spite of the facts above, which is just the tip of the iceberg, North Dakota DPI is shamelessly promoting this agenda as “abstinence and healthy sex education.” I would suggest that ND DPI along with Ms. Tibke educate themselves a bit more, clarify DPI’s true intent here, and find a better way to spend our hard earned tax dollars.
We have a clear and dangerous example of what can pass as “abstinence education” in our great state if we do not set strong guidelines in our laws. With North Dakota DPI partnering with Planned Parenthood to sponsor this “health” conference for educators, we see the audacity of people with a liberal and dangerous agenda using your dollars to promote their own political and economic goals. In our society, over-abundant sexual activity with numerous partners, including adolescents, continues to escalate due to the immoral agenda of PP and SIECUS. The spread of devastating sexually transmitted deceases is a disgraceful consequence of the liberal Kinsey-Playboy-Planned Parenthood sexual revolution, and now we are asked to embrace it, and pay for it in North Dakota Public Schools.

Contact your senator (1-888-635-3447) and ask him or her to support putting abstinence education guidelines back into House Bill 1229. It will reflect North Dakota values, based on common sense and true science! (This bill may be voted on as early as Monday March 28.)
Contact the Department of Public Instruction (1-701-328-2260) and express your disapproval with the department co-sponsoring this biased conference.
Contact your U.S. Senator (1-202-224-2131) and ask him or her to support de-funding Planned Parenthood in the Federal budget.
One of the greatest hypocrisies of our time is the pretense of providing safe-sex instruction to children while in reality advancing an agenda that encourages them to be sexually active and then literally making a profit off their demise. Let’s make sure we stop this agenda cold here in our great state.
