The bipartisan coalition to protect women’s sports is GROWING. In the last Congress, not a single Democrat voted to protect female athletes on the basis of sex. Earlier this year, two Democrats cracked the dam and defied party lines to protect women, and now support is continuing to build. I am excited to share that Nevada’s own U.S. Rep. Susie Lee (D-3rd) has recorded her support for keeping women’s sports for women only.
During debate on the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026 (NDAA), U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina 1st) offered an amendment (H.Amdt.87) to prohibit male athletes from competing on women’s sports teams at military academies. This amendment passed with the support of 10 Democrats, including Rep. Lee, who were willing to affirm that men should not compete in women’s sports.
Concerned Women for America has long defied traditional political boundaries in its efforts to safeguard women’s sports, partnering with traditionally left-leaning groups such as the Women’s Liberation Front and Women’s Declaration International, among others. We’re excited to see the U.S. House of Representatives now start to reflect the bipartisan nature of this movement.
Rep. Lee will likely face criticism for breaking with party lines. However, we know that, regardless of political affiliations, standing up for the safety and dignity of female athletes is the right thing to do.

Please join me in contacting Rep. Lee to thank her for her willingness to defend women with her vote on Amendment 87. When you contact her office, be sure to let them know you are a member of Concerned Women for America of Nevada!

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We thank You for leaders who are willing to stand for truth and protect the safety and dignity of women and girls. We lift up Rep. Lee and others who courageously supported this amendment. Strengthen them, protect them from criticism, and guide their steps. May more leaders rise above politics to honor what is good and just. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Together, let’s show our appreciation and encourage leaders who are willing to put principle above politics.
