The 2024 elections are upon us, and we need your help to ensure that every eligible vote counts in Montana! Here are ways to engage:
- Serve as election challengers and poll watchers during early voting and on Election Day. Click here for poll watcher qualifications by state and here for laws governing observers by state.
- Serve as county poll workers. You can learn about poll workers in Montana here. Use can also use the poll worker lookup tool to find information on being a poll worker in your community, including requirements, hours, pay, training, and more.
- Ensure Montanans are registered to vote. We have made it easy for you. Download our Conducting a Voter Registration Drive: Instructions and Helpful Tips.

General Election Dates
- October 7: Close of regular voter registration. (Registration forms postmarked by this date and received within 3 days are accepted for regular registration.)
- October 8: Late Registration begins – General Election
- November 5: 7:00 a.m. – Polls open *Polling places with less than a net of 400 registered voters (Registered minus Absentee) may open after 7:00 a.m. but must open no later than noon. Polls close at 8:00 p.m.
