Dear Friends,
What a year! Hope is in the air as we look back at all we have accomplished this year and consider the possibilities ahead. We want to say a big THANK YOU for your friendship and support.
We praise God for each and every one of you!
The Christmas season, with its focus on the birth of Jesus Christ, is at the center of this hope. The Savior was born, died for our sins, rose from the grave, and reigns on high!
The words of 1 Peter 1:3 come to mind, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
It is that hope that keeps us energized, even in the midst of what others think is impossible. That is how we approached this election year, and we saw God move in miraculous ways.
But we couldn’t engage the way that we do without your help. YOU have gifted us with your time, talent, and/or treasure, and we are beyond grateful.
Let me list just a few of the things we were able to accomplish this year, thanks to you!
- Hosted prayer walks throughout 2024 at the State Capitol. We prayed for legislators and their staff, introduced CWA, and had discussions about possible legislation to prevent human trafficking, upcoming parental rights bills, chemical abortion protocol, and more.
- Grew our Encourage-A-Legislator program, in which volunteers prayed daily for their adopted legislator and sent them an encouraging postcard once a month. This year, almost all 253 state legislators were part of the program.
- Advocated for life at the state capitol by lobbying legislators to co-sponsor the Life.gov bill.
- Presented legislative language to commemorate April as Faith Month to several legislators within the House and Senate which led to SR257.
- Participated in the 4th Annual Pennsylvania March for Life Planning Committee. Six thousand faithful residents from across the Commonwealth attended in the pouring rain.
- Played a part in CWA national’s She Prays She Votes (SPSV) Campaign by setting up an event in Pittsburgh as part of the cross-country bus tour with Penny Nance. In addition, we brought in several state and local pro-family leaders to speak.
- Prayed for and addressed local and state issues through our Prayer/Action Chapters, which met monthly across the state. The Berean chapter even held a “Supporting and Restoring the Victims of Human Trafficking” event, which drew over 60 people.
- Joined Independent Women’s Forum and Riley Gaines at Scranton’s “Take Back Title IX” bus stop.
- Participated in the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference for the third year. We met various grassroots organizations, prayed with leaders, and presented the vision of CWA of Pennsylvania.
- Represented CWA of Pennsylvania by speaking and tabling at the Pray the Vote Luncheon sponsored by Congressman GT Thompson.
2025, Here We Come!
We are believing in a God-sized vision for CWA of Pennsylvania engagement for next year. Now is not the time to let up. We need to commit to prayer and action now more than ever.
We have a great opportunity to exert generational transformation in the name of our Lord in the next year that will benefit our children and grandchildren. So, we will need your help! Please pray about what you can do and make yourself available to the Lord.
Please prayerfully consider making a final year-end, tax-deductible gift of $100, $50, $25, or other to continue the work here in Pennsylvania. It will make a huge difference for our state! Send a check to the address below or contribute online.
And remember, let’s keep our eyes on that Blessed Hope; we will stand triumphant in His glory alone.
In His Service,
