Meet CWA of Washington’s New State Director

We are pleased to introduce Stormy Hassan, Concerned Women for America’s (CWA) new Washington State Director.

After discovering CWA through Christian radio in the 80s, Stormy soon joined the CWA of Washington leadership team, serving as a Prayer/Action Chapter Leader. After stepping back from leadership for many years to focus on her growing family, she returned as a chapter leader last year. We are deeply grateful for her willingness to now step into the role of State Director.

Born in San Diego, California, Stormy spent her childhood moving across nine different states. As a young adult, she served in the Army National Guard as an operating nurse while also embracing life as a new wife and mother. In time, she found her true home in Washington State, where her family’s deep generational roots continue to shape her life and calling.

Stormy fondly remembers her early days as a Prayer/Action Chapter leader. The gatherings were deeply meaningful times as women came together to pray, encourage one another, and stand for the values that strengthen families and communities.

As her family grew, Stormy stepped back from leadership to focus on raising and homeschooling her children. Over the years, her family grew to nine children, and she devoted those years to nurturing, teaching, and building a strong foundation of faith within her home. Even during that busy season of life, however, the vision for engaging women in prayer and action never left her.

Now, with her youngest child nearing adulthood, Stormy has stepped back into leadership with renewed passion and purpose. As Washington State Director for CWA, she is committed to helping women across the state stay informed, unite in prayer, and boldly engage in the cultural and legislative issues that impact faith, family, and freedom.

A note from Stormy:
“I have always had a deep love for bringing women together in prayer and believe that when women unite in both prayer and meaningful action, God moves in powerful ways.

“While many have chosen to leave Washington, my family and I have felt called to remain steadfast in our commitment to ensure that the freedoms and principles others have sacrificed for are not lost. Now is the time to draw a line in the sand and stand firm for God’s glory. He calls us to persevere and not grow weary. As Galatians 6:9 reminds us, ‘Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.’”

Please pray and ask the Lord if He might be calling you to increase your involvement in the ministry of CWA of Washington. You may contact Stormy at 360-631-7751 or [email protected]. She would be delighted to speak with you, answer your questions, and pray with you for God’s direction in your life.
