We are pleased to introduce Haven Howard, Concerned Women for America’s (CWA) new Missouri State Director. Haven joined the CWA of Missouri leadership team in 1997 as an Issues Specialist, in 2011 as the Branson Prayer/Action Chapter Leader, and then in 2003 as Area Director of Southwest Missouri. We are grateful that Haven has now stepped into the director’s role.
Haven Howard has been involved in the pro-life, pro-family movement for over 40 years. Her journey began when she and her husband were trying to adopt a baby and discovered there were none available due to Roe v Wade just being passed, and abortions had skyrocketed. After a long wait, lots of prayers and tears, they adopted two sons, Errett and Travis, and are eternally grateful for these two great gifts from God! They now have six wonderful grandchildren; their oldest granddaughter is a Young Women for America leader!
After moving to Branson in 1993, Haven was looking for a pro-family group with whom to get involved. She heard about a Concerned Women for America (CWA) Prayer/Action Chapter that met in her community and started attending the meetings. Years later, after consistently serving with excellence, Haven has hosted an array of events, has lobbied at the state capitol innumerable times, and has spoken at countless churches; it only seems natural for her to step into the role of State Director. In addition to CWA, Haven was involved in the Branson Tea Party and continues to be a leader in local politics. She is a Regional Vice President with Arbonne International, and she and her husband, Ron, have a music ministry.

A note from Haven: “When I saw the continual decline in our nation’s moral standards and loss of Biblical heritage, I knew I had to get involved. I didn’t want my children asking me, “Where were you?” when life was devalued and our freedoms taken away. When I discovered CWA, I was impressed that prayer was an integral part of the ministry and that they provided the average woman with an opportunity to get involved and make a difference in her community and nation. I love the ministry of CWA and its integrity and am thankful for the amazing leadership team in our national office.
“In addition, I am tremendously grateful for the outstanding work that Tracey Dougan has done in Missouri as State Director for several years. She has made an impact on public policy and encouraged prayer for our great state. We are blessed that she will continue to serve within the ministry of CWA of Missouri at my right side as Associate Director.”
Please seek the Lord and ask if He is calling you to join CWA and its movement to impact the culture for Christ through education and public policy. Contact Haven at 417-766-2281 or [email protected]. She would love to talk with you, answer your questions, and get you involved in Missouri.
