Thanks be to God! What a powerful victory for life! This is an answer to prayer!
While these clinics provide services like birth control, tests for sexually transmitted diseases, cancer screenings, and other health care services, they have never been licensed to perform abortions in the state. Planned Parenthood, a national abortion business, has long sought to expand its abortion agenda in Louisiana. Their New Orleans facility was intended to become a mega-abortion center, but thanks to our united efforts, not a single abortion was ever performed there. Now, that facility is shutting down!
This milestone comes as a result of the One Big Beautiful Bill, which reduces Medicaid funding for abortion clinics, including Planned Parenthood clinics, even though federal funds already prohibit abortion funding.
Gov. Jeff Landry celebrated the closures of Planned Parenthood in a social media post:
“A major win for the pro-life movement here in Louisiana. I have fought hard as Attorney General and now as Governor to rid our state of this failed organization. Abortion should NEVER be considered healthcare.”
Attorney General Liz Murrill also celebrated the news of the clinic closures:
“This is welcome news. Planned Parenthood built its business around promoting death. Louisiana choose [sic] life. We will always protect women and babies.”
The sanctity of life movement is here to stay. We will continue to love and serve both mother and child!
Despite what opponents may claim, there are many public and private healthcare providers where women have access to compassionate care, essential medical services, and real support.

Take Action – The Work Continues!
This is a huge victory, but there is still much to do:
- Pray against the illegal abortion pills coming into Louisiana by mail, for the sake of both the unborn child and the health of the mother who has no medical oversight. May the entities providing it be exposed and stopped.
- Support moms in need – volunteer, donate baby supplies, or give financially to life-affirming ministries.
- Be a voice for life – share this victory and encourage others to stand for the unborn.
