This legislation is a common sense approach to assure that there is weight behind the president’s pledge that Iran cannot be permitted to reach nuclear capability. While the president and his administration work hand-in-hand with the Security Council and Germany to obtain a peaceful agreement, it is clear Iran needs a more substantial push to abide by the guidelines of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
