Legislative Update for April 6, 2012

Even though Congress was not in session, and it was Good Friday and the beginning of Passover, 72 representatives sent a letter to President Obama urging him to sign the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) executive order for federal contractors.

The ENDA executive order would grant special employment rights and protected minority status to federal contractor employees who define themselves based upon chosen sexual behaviors. It would force federal contractors to abandon their First Amendment civil rights at the workplace door.

On April 11, President Obama met with his homosexual base, telling them he would not sign the executive order because the timing was wrong.

Obamas decision was based wholly on political calculation.According to homosexual activists, language for the ENDA executive order has already been drafted and cleared by the Departments of Justice and Labor. This decision will likely be revisited after elections.
