Kentucky Leaders Gain Ground in D.C.!

“Enlarge the place of your tent,
and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.”
-Isaiah 54:2

Last month, Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Kentucky traveled to Washington, D.C., for CWA’s “Gaining Ground” Summit. Our Kentucky delegation heard from several members of Congress who discussed legislation central to CWA’s core issues. The inspiring words of Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana 4th) declaring, “Concerned Women for America is having its finest moment in history,” were a highlight.

While in D.C., we visited Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (R) and the staff of Reps. Andy Barr (R-Kentucky 6th) and Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky 4th) to advocate for the MOMs Act and the Protection of Women in Olympic and Amateur Sports Act and to pray for them. We left Capitol Hill very encouraged by our meetings.

Our training day was designed to equip us to grow in our responsibilities as State Directors, Prayer/Action Chapter Leaders, Influencers, and members. It did just that! The guest speakers spoke with courage and supernatural resolve. Rep. Laurel Libby of Maine, Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, Vanessa Sivage, founder of Protect Texas Children, journalist Megan Basham, and writer and talk show host Eric Metaxas are a few of the speakers who bolstered our faith and emboldened our mission.

Congratulations to Debbie McCool, Johnson County Prayer Action Chapter Leader, for taking home the National Servant’s Heart Award! We are so blessed to have her on our CWA of Kentucky Team!

All of us left the Gaining Ground summit feeling God’s clear direction, renewed, energized, and ready to “enlarge our territory.”
