Kentucky: Help Us Ensure Election Integrity

The 2024 elections are upon us, and we need your help to ensure that every eligible vote counts in Kentucky! Here are ways to engage:

  1. Serve as challengers and watchers during early voting and on Election Day. Reach out to your local Republican or Democrat parties for information on qualifications and how to apply.
  2. Serve as Officer of Elections/Election Officer (poll workers.) Learn about Officers of Elections in Kentucky and how to apply here. Use can also use the poll worker lookup tool to find information on being a poll worker in your community, including requirements, hours, pay, training, and more.
  3. Ensure Kentuckians are registered to vote. We have made it easy for you. Download our Conducting a Voter Registration Drive: Instructions and Helpful Tips.

Election Dates

Primary Election

  • Monday, April 22, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.– Deadline to register to vote in the primary.
  • Tuesday, May 7, 2024 – Deadline for online mail-in absentee ballot requests.
  • Wednesday – Friday, May 8, 9, 10, and Monday – Wednesday, May 13, 14, 15 – Excused In-person Absentee Voting. Find out times and locations for voting in your county here or contact your county clerk’s office.
  • Tuesday, May 14, 2024–Deadline to request military/overseas ballot.
  • Thursday, May 16–Saturday, May 18, 2024–No Excuse In person, absentee voting in the county clerk’s office. Find out times and locations for voting in your county here or contact your county clerk’s office.
  • Tuesday, May 21, 2024 – Primary Election Day. Polls are open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.

General Election

  • Monday, October 7 – Deadline to register to vote.
  • Tuesday, October 22 – Deadline for online mail-in absentee ballot requests.
  • Wednesday-Friday, October 23, 24 25 and Monday-Wednesday, October 28, 29, 30 – Excused In-person Absentee Voting. Find out times and locations for voting in your county here or contact your county clerk’s office.
  • Tuesday, October 29, 2024–Deadline to request military/overseas ballot.
  • Thursday, October 31–Saturday, November 2, 2024– No-excuse In-person absentee voting in the county clerk’s office. Find out times and locations for voting in your county here or contact your county clerk’s office.
  • Tuesday, November 5, 2024 – General Election Day. Polls are open 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time.
