“‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream.”
– Acts 2:17 (see also Joel 2:28-32)
As of Wednesday, October 15, 2025, the last known female hostage (27 years old) was returned to Israel, along with a Bedouin IDF soldier who leaves behind two wives, thirteen children, his parents, and twenty-two siblings.
Nineteen families are still awaiting the return of their loved ones. Hamas claims it needs additional time to locate and return the remaining hostages, despite the October 13 deadline having passed. Meanwhile, Hamas continues to refuse to disarm, is fighting with Palestinian tribes resisting their control, and is executing men from rival tribes.
Our Israeli and Jewish-American neighbors need our support and love.
Action you can take in empathy and love:
- Contact your U.S. elected officials and respectfully urge them to stand with Israel and support peace and justice in the region.
- Join us in prayer – pray with us for peace and the outpouring of God’s Spirit across Israel.
A Prayer for Israel and the Middle East:
Father God,
We pray peace over Israel and her allies. In the areas of Judea and Samaria, we speak the love of the Prince of Peace.
Father, we ask for a softening of the hearts of Americans towards the State of Israel, and to our Jewish-American countrymen. May we be a nation of one accord who desires to bless Israel. May our antisemitic thoughts and words be replaced with words of edification and love. Grant discernment to our legislators so they may recognize and reject true antisemitism whenever it is spoken.
We ask for clarity and wisdom for those who are involved in ushering in this peaceful transition including Benjamin Netanyahu, Donald Trump, Tony Blair, and the Hamas leaders. May a peaceful resolution be achieved, and may the right leader for the area known as Gaza be chosen – one who has a heart and mind to act according to the guidance of our Living God, not the dictates of men. Surround them, Lord, with righteous advisors of Your choosing.
We petition You for protection for aid workers, IDF soldiers, and Palestinians. May every weapon, both of mind and of hand, that Hamas and their allies are utilizing against them be rendered fruitless and of no effect. Instead, let these efforts be replaced with acceptance of a meaningful and permanent revelation of your Sovereignty, Power, and Glory. May Jesus become a living reality to them, and may Your Precious Spirit be poured out in these last days.
We pray that discouragement is replaced with encouragement and strength. Let the many voices of those who cry out regarding the release of a disproportionate number of Israel’s enemies are heard. Inspire creative and lasting solutions that bring an end to hostage-taking and violence. Let it no longer be a profitable endeavor. Expose the many lies that distort the true situation in the Middle East.
Father, we praise You for You are the true living example of goodness.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
Thank you!
