We have reason to celebrate in Louisiana! Last Thursday, May 27, SB 156, the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act, passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 77/17. The bill passed both chambers with bipartisan support (13 Democrats voted for the bill). I previously wrote to you about the bill here and here.
Thank you for sending messages to the House and Senate members about this important bill that protects girls’ sports! Your voice made the difference.
But the work is not over. I need you to make one more call to Gov. John Bel Edwards (Democrat)! It is very important that he hears from those who stand with him on protecting girls’ sports.
Take Action!
- Contact Gov. Bel Edwards and ask him to stand with female athletes and sign SB 156. Let him know that you stand with him in support of the bill. Phone: (225)342-7015 | Email. If you are a member of Concerned Women for America of Louisiana, be sure to let him know.
- Forward this information to family and friend
Please pray for Gov. Bel Edwards that he will sign the bill. Pray that God would give him the wisdom and understanding to accomplish His purposes.
“Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.” 1 Timothy 2:2
