Faith Still Matters in Pennsylvania

“Faith is the seed of all good works.” — William Penn

Last week, the Pennsylvania Senate introduced SR280 to commemorate the significance of faith within our Commonwealth and affirm its enduring role in strengthening families, communities, and public life across our state. Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Pennsylvania is grateful for this recognition and for the leadership of Sen. Chris Dush (R–District 25) and Sen. Christine M. Tartaglione, Senate Minority Whip (D–District 2), in championing this effort.

Faith Month, an initiative of Concerned Women for America (CWA), is a time set apart to give thanks for the Gospel and the enduring way faith has shaped our hearts, families, communities, and nation. It offers a meaningful reminder that faith is not only personal but also deeply foundational to service, compassion, and civic responsibility.

Across our communities—from pregnancy care centers and churches to outreach ministries and volunteers—people of faith continue to make a tangible difference every day. Their work reflects a steady commitment to love, human dignity, and hope expressed in action.

This month, we also remember that we are called to live unashamed of our faith, bearing witness to the truth with humility and courage. We invite others to join us in honoring this heritage, lifting high the Christian flag, and recognizing our shared identity as one nation under God.

Let’s Pray

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate Faith Month in Pennsylvania and for leaders who recognize the importance of faith in shaping strong families and communities. We pray for Pennsylvania, that faith would not just be remembered, but lived out each day—bringing hope where there is discouragement, healing where there is brokenness, and light where there is darkness.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
