Early Human Life Development Education Needs YOUR Support in Pennsylvania

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” -Psalm 139:14

Concerned Women for America (CWA) of Pennsylvania is thankful for the introduction of the Early Human Life Development Education bill, HB606, by Rep. Joe Hamm (R-District 84). HB606 will enrich the health education instruction for students related to pregnancy and human development inside the womb.

It is essential that health education instruction provides the most current scientific information, including digital ultrasound images showing the developing and moving image of a human being in the womb, to enhance instruction. Scientific advances in fetal imaging have brought light into the womb.

HB606 has been referred to the House Committee on Education and will have the best chance of being heard if we have overwhelming support in the form of co-sponsors on the legislation. Your action and prayers are needed!

Action Items:

  • Please contact your Pennsylvania State Representative and ask them to sponsor HB606. Do you know who your representative is and/or how to contact them? No problem! Go here to find out who they are and how to contact them.
  • Whether your representative is Rep. Hamm or not, thank him for sponsoring HR606 by emailing him or calling his district office at (570) 546-2084.
  • Let them know you are a member of Concerned Women for America of Pennsylvania.
  • Forward this e-alert to friends and family today. Encourage them to both act and pray.

Agree with me in prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of life and the advancement of scientific technology that is enhancing the discussion about life in the womb.  Lord, we ask you to help this legislation move forward so that we can have a positive and meaningful impact on the education for our students. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

More about HB606:

This legislation requires instruction to include a computer-generated animated rendering for every significant marker of human development in addition to a digital ultrasound video and moving image of a growing baby in the womb at specified gestational ages beginning with fertilization.

A 15-week-old baby has eyes and eyelids with a well-formed face, hands, and feet along with developing fingers and toes. The baby is already making red blood cells and other organs are fast developing. Muscles and bones grow and become harder making it possible for the child to move. We’ve all seen the images of the child making a fist or sucking their thumb.

“It is important to ensure that our students are learning medically and scientifically accurate information about the full scope of human development from its earliest stages. It is my hope that this legislation equips students with a deeper understanding of human development, reproduction, pregnancy, and life. Research shows that pregnancies tend to be healthier when there is a greater understanding of fetal development” – an excerpt from Rep. Hamm, sponsorship memo

Thank you in advance for taking action and praying for this life-saving legislation.
