Day 11 – A Prayer for Peace

By April 10, 2020Blog, Covid-19

Holy Father,
May Your name be revered forever.
Blessed is the man who trusts You
And embraces Your discipline, Lord.

Thank you for loving us enough
To help us find our way, even
In rebellion and ignorance;
Thank you, Abba.

When our foot feels slipping
Your Word leads us to regain our footing,
Standing on solid ground;
You sustain us.

When anxiety knocks at our door
Your consolation bring joy.
Help us to rest in Your peace.
Help us to embrace Your grace.

You are our fortress
In whom we take refuge.
Help us to see past our immediate circumstances
And trust in Your perfect judgment.

You are doing a thing, which
Perhaps we cannot comprehend.
Your ways are not ours,
Your thoughts too high for us.

So, take control of this virus, oh Lord.
Take control of our lives;
Take control of our country,
And lead us closer to You.

Help us to grow and rest,
Strengthen our relationships
With each other and with You.
We are Yours.

In Jesus’ Name we pray,
Amen.
